The office of a design team specialized in spatial planning not only meets professional needs but makes a deep impression on its clients, who will start to imagine a life in the future. Located on the first floor of a newly-built residential building, Zone of Light utilizes large quantities of wooden materials and white walls to create a natural, warm vibe. It also takes advantage of its two high-ceiling floors to optimize space use and visually captivate clients’ imagination.
In the reception section, floating cabinetry seems to be supported by a wooden pillar reaching the ceiling. The entryway is defined by a dark-toned tall cabinet and a shoe bench. Above and below the cabinet is a blank space that ties in with the horizontal openings on the cabinet, adding an open, transparent touch to the space.
The special layout of a high-ceiling first floor and a loft is made the best of, and spatial layers and indirect lighting accentuating the three-dimensionality of the floor-to-ceiling bookshelves on one side become focal points. The lighting, combined with soft furnishings’ wood-vein materials of different shades, further enriches the visual layers in the space. The wood-vein tiles tactfully configured at slanted angles, together with the arrangement of green potted plants, get to break spatial invariability, adding a sense of fun to the otherwise vertical and horizontal space.
The second-floor loft is a Japanese-style multi-functional space for lounging, tea drinking, dining, workout, and so on. Collage of materials of different wood veins not merely adorns the section but serves to display. Smart lighting equipment is recessed on the vaulted side, and the vibe can be transformed in accordance with various settings needs.
Owing to the designer’s love of music and reading, refined, cultivated simplicity can be felt in the design. The skillful methodology is also applied to create natural motifs close to life. With the open-concept layout and clever blend of varied materials, visitors will be deeply impressed, feel even more rest assured, and start to build up expectations and imagination for their future homes.
