Jinjiang Cullinan Hotel—the Rhyme of Song

Combining traditional Chinese Song Dynasty elements and modern aesthetics, coupled with the designer's ingenuity, this work integrates the garden waterscape of "mountain, water, and nature" into the indoor environment in an orderly manner, which increases the rhyme and layering of the space, and realizes the integration of interior and landscape. A sparse and elegant Song-style garden artistic conception is thus created in a new Chinese style, providing an immersive, quiet and elegant environmental experience.

The traditional scenery with Song Dynasty characteristics is used to reproduce the simple, sparse and elegant Song-style garden artistic conception in the mountain, stone, garden, flower, tree, light and shadow. Starting from the entrance of the space, the first thing seen is the dignified, magnificent and elegant door. The light and shadow of the corridor beside the Sishuigui hall (i.e. Water flowing into Hall from Four Sides) are interlaced to outline a perfect and leisurely beautiful picture. Walking by the side of the hall, you feel as if you are a member of the Song Dynasty, strolling to express your feelings. The preface hall adopts the traditional Chinese symmetrical layout, and all the details are integrated with the elements of the Chinese Song Dynasty, which adds a bit of charm to the level of the space.

The overall color matching takes simplicity and elegance as priority, emphasizing the true color with less contrasting colors. The colors are not as bright as other styles, and the overall matching is very coordinated. With soft warm yellow lighting, it provides a quiet and comfortable living environment. The objects borrowed from the aesthetics of the Song Dynasty are not purely natural scenery, but embody emotions and experience of life, full of understanding and expression of artistic conception and atmosphere, presenting its unique culture and temperament.

Home furnishing adopts the new Chinese design method of interpreting traditional culture with modern materials. It makes the entire interior space more harmonious, with the unity and continuity of the main materials.
