Haikou Sky Blue Bay

The Phase I of South Zone I of Hainan Luneng Hailan Fuyuan is a residential community located in Yingbin Peninsula, Chengmai County, Hainan Province. Hainan is an island with strong local features, and the key point of this project is to integrate the characteristics of modern architecture while responding to the local cultural features. The architects use a design technique that combines regional features with modernism to create a modern community with a sense of belonging.



We combine the regional cultural features of Hainan with the concept of modern architecture to create modern residential buildings that fit the local characteristics. The flexible folded lines from top to bottom distinguishes the project from the rigid image of traditional house. At the same time, the processing of materials and details creates an echo with local cultural features, the hollowed out grating at the top and the treatment of the gable material make the overall volume get rid of the sense of thickness, and the overall form and structure relationship is further optimized. The project is committed to creating modern architecture with regional features that looks stately from a distance and exquisite from a close distance.



The project focuses on the creation of urban interface, shows respect for the city, and pays attention to the multiple needs of modern users for quality of life and spiritual life. The integration of modern oriental aesthetics and island culture builds a comfortable and natural, poetic and healthy peaceful life.



In addition, the building adopts energy saving and environmental protection technologies to create a green and low-carbon lifestyle. In response to the national "Double-Carbon Policy", the project avoids destroying local cultural relics, natural water systems, wetlands, basic farmland, forests and other protected areas during site construction, and maintain the original site topography during the planning and construction process. A large number of solar collectors are set on the roof of buildings to achieve efficient use of natural energy according to the climate characteristics of Hainan Island.
