Taichung International Flower Carpet Festival Installation

2020 Taichung International Flower Carpet Festival chose the theme “Alice in Floral Wonderland” to recreate surreal scenes in classic fairytales with flowers. It was curated with immersive experiences, three-dimensional installations, and huge mazes, to deliver life lessons in fairytales.

The main installation, ” The Brave Heart” featured the scene when Alice confronted Queen of Hearts. The 10-meter Queen of Hearts was a major three-dimensional floral installation made with lantern techniques, flower plantation, and mechanical operations. In hourly shows, Queen of Hearts and her poker soldiers waved their arms and legs with music in a misty and adventurous atmosphere. In the face of huge and moving enemies, the fearless Alice stood still. The contrast underlined Alice’s brave heart.
