2023 Central Taiwan Lantern Festival – Magic World

Lantern Festival is one of the most important festivals in Chinese culture. The Taichung City Government held the lantern festival in Taichung Central Park, combining lights, sound effects, and visuals to wish for good luck in the Year of the Rabbit. One of them is a science fiction cosmic zone with the theme of "Avatar", which is a unique outdoor alien world. The "Magic Box World", an alien planet full of blessings and science fiction, invites earthlings to experience a fantasy journey.
The science fiction zone is presented in ten scenarios. The artistic creation brings visual impact to the audience, and at the same time allows people to touch and interact, making the experience more exploratory. One of the highlights is the Tree of Life. Ribbon-like light strips fall from the tree, allowing people to hold them and experience the classic Avatar plot. The event incorporates artistic creations and LED lighting on the trees in the venue to shape a science fictional world that demonstrates the values of communion, sharing, and harmony. Through the alien world imagery, the design team hopes to inspire people to cherish the environment and protect the earth.
