Data from the World Health Organization shows people's hearing is getting worse across the globe. According to the first-ever World Report on Hearing, more than 430 million people worldwide require treatment for hearing loss. It’s estimated that in the next three decades that number will rise to nearly 2.5 billion. Despite these statistics, on average, people wait 7 years between first noticing their hearing loss and finally treating it – mainly due to the stigma associated with wearing the devices. Starkey’s all-new Genesis AI hearing aids are helping reduce that stigma through an all-new RIC design. Crafted to organically fit the ear, the sleek, geometric design ensures the hearing aid sits low above the pinna to provide discreet, contoured positioning. Additionally, our Invisible-in-the-Canal and Completely-in-the-Canal devices are designed for patients to receive the hearing support they need, without the stigma – including our mRIC R being the smallest RIC rechargeable hearing aid on the market.
Our new, smaller, Neuro Processor emulates the function of the central auditory system with 4X the speed and 6X more transistors than previous processors. It is also the industry’s first chip with a unique onboard Deep Neural Network accelerator engine that mimics the cerebral cortex of the brain. Our new Neuro Sound Technology enables wearers to hear soft sounds without noise, distinguish speech more intuitively, and significantly reduces listening effort. Additionally, Genesis AI instantaneously conducts an AI-based analysis of the acoustic environment, making over 22,000 adjustments every second! This unprecedented speed ensures wearers seamlessly and automatically transition between listening environments.
In addition, with a simple double tap, Edge Mode+ leverages the hearing aids built-in DNN to scan the environment and optimize sound for speech clarity. It will instantaneously improve speech understanding and decrease listening effort in any challenging listening environment, such as a noisy restaurant. These devices are compatible with Apple and Android phones for direct streaming of calls and music, supporting two-way, hands-free calling, similar to Bluetooth headphones. Other unique features include reminders, “find my hearings aids” and in-ear, real-time language translation of more than 70 languages.
