Regala Skycity Hotel

Regala Skycity Hotel is a newly constructed luxurious hotel situated in the entertainment quarter of SKYCITY within Hong Kong International Airport. The hotel offers 1,208 contemporary guest rooms and suites, making it one of the biggest hotels in Hong Kong. The natural shape of the building not only maximizes the usage of land, but the use of reflective glass on the curtain wall makes it blended into its environment yet refracts light like a crystal prism in interesting ways.



The building features a tripartite division in which the base has a dynamic and fluid design that reflects the movement and energy of flight paths from Hong Kong to other parts of the world. The shaft is constructed with unitized curtain wall system that not only offers a sleek and modern appearance, but is highly energy-efficient and sustainable. The system is made up of pre-assembled units that are fabricated off-site and then installed on the building's exterior. This method of construction offers a range of benefits, including improved quality control, reduced construction time, and minimized disruption to the surrounding area. The crown of the building is designed to appear "edgeless," creating a sense of continuity between the building and the sky. It is highly functional and offers facilities such as a rooftop bar, a jogging path, outdoor gym facility, and lounging areas.



The hotel's internal space follows a "one space planning" design approach to create a seamless connection between the interior and exterior spaces. This design allows guests to enjoy the natural surroundings while also experiencing the luxury and comfort of the hotel's interior spaces. The guest rooms feature large windows that offer expansive views of the new airport runway.
