Samurai at Dawn

The project is located in the West District of Taipei. The design inspiration and concept mainly come from three major projects:



Item 1: The owner of this case is Japanese. The owner hopes that this residence in Taipei can remind him of his home in Japan, so the main axis of the entire design is to be modern without losing the Japanese cicada style. atmosphere.



The second item: comes from Ryoanji Temple in Kyoto. The quiet and peaceful space is integrated with nature, allowing a peaceful atmosphere to permeate the entire space.



The third item: An article on Japanese aesthetics "Praise of Shadows" written by Japanese writer and novelist Junichiro Tanizaki. The beauty of light and shadow in Japanese culture described in the book moved the designer greatly. How to create this beauty of light and shadow in modern high-end residences is the biggest challenge of this design project.





In the space facing south, the angle of sunlight is different in different seasons. Light and shadow alternate, using different shades of wood. Let seemingly simple materials produce unexpected natural beauty. Tranquility and elegance.



The total area of ​​the project is 100 square meters. Based on meeting the functional requirements, the designer always follows the design rules of "Oriental Zen". There are no flashy color renderings and no complicated element overlays, so the design returns to its pure essence. Use the natural changes of light and shadow to create a natural and comfortable space atmosphere.
