One Thousand and One Nights

This is an aged single storey residential property with an internal area of approximately 191 square meters.

As the original layout did not meet the client's needs, the project was conceptualised through a harmonious arrangement of the spatial axes to upgrade functionality and style, while meeting their needs for openness, brightness and social space. The design is based on a brownish-red colour scheme, with the warmth of the wood in the bright concept, and the progressive mechanics and light of the textures spreading out like a fantasy scene that can be started by casting a spell.



The warm and light atmosphere of the wooden floors throughout the house is accentuated by the vivid brown and red colours. The design of the sunroom and balcony also allows each of the areas to be designed independently. The master bedroom's warm pink wardrobe corresponds to the theme and conceals the pillars; the elders' room has a calm atmosphere with woven rattan and wood grain; the bathroom has a soothing grey scale to break away from the bright impression; and the balcony has been partially restored to create a new aesthetic. The buried story of the "sesame opening" spell derived from the cat Sesame opens the door to a mysterious visual feast as the house progresses.
