Dimming Lustre

The balmy bright light pours in the crisp monochrome scheme that renders a trendy modern style. Look around, the decorative wall coating covering the entire space echoes with the striking freckled terrazzo TV wall. Remarkably, a stylish residence implements a serene and elegant ambiance to settle a busy mind.

Due to the hectic life of homeowners, we set stable dark shades to decorate the public areas, and the understated tone revealed a hotel-like relaxing vibe. We arrange the furniture in a poised style, and the unique patterns enhance the visual interest and manifest their aesthetic tastes. In addition, we installed recessed spotlights to accentuate distinctive details, and the linear lighting under the cabinets created floating effects. Then, the illumination makes a perfect concert with the background. Furthermore, the laminated wood flooring brings a warm touch to balance the stone texture. We built a multipurpose washitsu study to meet the homeowners’ preferences for Japanese style. The residents can enjoy reading, tea tasting, or a Go game utilizing the tatami-lifting table. Also, the washitsu room enables a server as an extra bedroom or a guest room according to future needs.

We utilized multiple mirrored decorations on the facades in this project. The curved and slanted shapes of the false ceiling design eliminate the heaviness of the beams and columns. Additionally, the embellishment enhanced the space-extending image. Moreover, the wooden cove on the ceiling defined different areas and created an enlarging view by layering various materials.

To satisfy the residents’ requirements, we planned a storage room containing large items on the right side of the entryway. Besides, the wood slat shoe cabinet, the electric appliance cabinet inside the kitchen island, and the space under the tatami platform provide sufficient storage function. We exploited fractional areas to organize the clutter and presented aesthetics and functions.
