Building a Future-Ready Society of Women

In order to enable more women to achieve a happy life, the Social and Family Affairs Administration, MOHW has launched the program since 2019. The project is organized by The LINKER, which develops innovative social welfare services for women that are people-oriented, multi-dimensional perspectives, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. In the process, it connects governmental departments, non-governmental organizations, and enterprises, and introduces an innovative talent training system. In the past three years, the program has promoted 18 innovative proposals, affecting more than one million people and expanding to all regions of Taiwan. The impact is still growing proportionally, aiming to realize the value of social cohesion.

According to the United Nations Development Program's (UNDP) Gender Inequality Index, Taiwan's gender equality in 2018 is the 9th highest in the world and the highest in Asia.

Despite this, in-depth research reveals that there are many hidden needs and service gaps for women that are not being met.     Women are a large group of people. There are a variety of issues such as age, place of residence, level of knowledge, economic status, as well as the changing roles of daughter, daughter-in-law, and mother. Even beyond the role expectations, there is " Intersectionality" for self-identification.

For this reason, the Social and Family Affairs Administration, MOHW has launched a series of comprehensive women's innovation programs in collaboration with the LINKER and local organizations that are concerned with women's issues to establish an innovative service system for women in Taiwan.
