In this single-family detached home, floors are reorganized to meet the needs of every family member. Previously, the first floor accommodated a garage and an audio-visual room. Taking the size of the interior space and the lifestyle of the family members into consideration, the audio-visual room is now transformed into an art gallery. Decorated with a velvet sofa and an abstract painting, it is a nook to change the mood when the residents come into the house every day.

While walking into the public area on the second floor, black, gray and white assert simplicity and cleanliness associated with modern design. The flooring is decorated with gray and white stone patterns. To create a sense of continuity, gray artistic coating continues throughout the TV wall. The light gray sofa plays out in the gorgeous gray color schemes as the shade is within the same color family. The wooden wall behind the sofa sets the tone for a calm and stable environment, and balances out cooler gray tones. In the square frame, the rounded-edge main TV wall and the canopy embrace softness instead of rigidity, while the smooth curves lend a subtle softness to the scene.

After integrating the kitchen and dining area, the space with circular traffic flow ensures smooth movement within the space. To continue the low-key and calm nature of the living room, the color palette makes the dining environment more mellow and stable. The warm gray partition wall hides the staircase, which also complements the painting and easily offsets the visual weight of a heavy wall.

Matte black sets the tone for the master bedroom. To avoid the dullness brought by black, the wall behind the bed is layered with grilles and black mirrors. A vista with striking visual contrast is formed through the interplay of reality and illusion. In the secondary bedroom, a couch is placed by the window. The large window prevents the room with darker tones from looking dreary and dull. The room feels balanced when there is just the right mix of dark and light.
