Heloise O'Hagan is an interior designer whose luxurious refillable candle range is sustainably handmade in Britain and aimed at a style-conscious audience, appealing to their interest in curating beautiful spaces without sacrificing their well-being or the environment.
We were challenged with creating packaging that would not only protect the fine bone china vessel inside but would also be reflective of the brand's commitment to sustainability, craftsmanship & reusability – this meant no unnecessary packaging and using only British manufacturers.
Having also been tasked with repositioning the brand into the luxury homewares space, we set out to make 'sustainable desirable' – ours would be a box that conveyed luxury and normalised sustainability.
Like the refillable vessel, we wanted the packaging to function in a secondary way.
The box is made from ‘secondary’ materials, recycled board and paper stock from reclaimed coffee cups, and we designed a removable die-cut card frame that protects the delicate vessel inside. Once removed, the box becomes an everlasting sanctum for the customer's keepsakes.
This box is plastic-free, toxin-free, reusable and recyclable.
Since the redesign, stockists include Joanna Wood, Wardrobe Icons & Sheerluxe.
The brand has won the W.Icons Beauty Award, been nominated for the Attracta Beauty Awards 2023, and enjoyed press features including Red magazine, You magazine, Wardrobe Icons, Sheerluxe, and Homes & Gardens.
