Art is the process of elevating life, while design is the means of showcasing that art. The designer and owner had a detailed discussion about the style of the space. They decided to plan a combination of classical European palace style and elegant oriental beauty to match the carefully selected furniture and create a unique blend of East and West. The designer also prioritized natural lighting by reducing the number of partitions in the area to allow it to flow freely and illuminate the entire public space. Together, art and design elevate the space.

As you traverse from the entranceway into the communal living area, you will be met with a breathtaking, dark-hued expanse that features a Chinese-style door configuration. This locale is the ultimate haven for relaxation and rejuvenation of the mind. The shared living quarters showcase an open floor plan that seamlessly integrates the living room, dining area, and kitchen, rendering a generously expansive area to move around in and mitigating the necessity for multiple light fixtures. The designer’s choice to eschew walls and instead utilize the ceiling structure to partition the common space is a shrewd one, as it creates an even more capacious and radiant ambiance in the area.

The designer chose to use black titanium-plated panels on the walls of the shared living area, which were complemented by soft furnishings in different materials and colors. This combination created a modern yet elegant atmosphere with attention to detail at every corner. The kitchen area features a central island that divides the space into two distinct atmospheres. One side is decorated with modern black and gray kitchenware while the other features a unique Chinese red brick wall. Large floor-to-ceiling windows allow natural light to enter the room, and the addition of green plants creates a relaxing environment for the hostess while cooking. In the private living area, soft colors are used to create a comfortable and stress-free environment, which promotes rest and relaxation. This approach provides a stable and peaceful sleeping experience for the residents.
