Consider the oriental culture – fengshui, people usually put a cabinet in entrance to deflect negative energy. By disconnecting cabinet from the wall, the sight can be extended from entrance to living room. With the gray mirror putting on the wall, it can show the reflection of scenery outside the living room’s window. It opened a way for sunlight to stream inside. In the limited space, we use lots of mirror to enlarge visual space sense. The form of ceiling also implied the limit of each space.
Revelation from Carlo Scarpa “spirit in the corner”. In order to resolve the junction of titanium-coated stainless steel, we put little squares in the corner by using leveling technique to solve the trim problem.
We consider that luxury culture of living space should be faintly seen. Try to use contemporary technique to create a classical space. By putting thin titanium-coated stainless steel strip in concave, the reflection will gently glittering in the shadow. As the sunlight changes, materials will show various effect every moment.
