Xiang Jiang Lai, Nanning

The project is located in Nanning, Guangxi, covering an area of about 6000㎡. Complying with the high-level planning of Wuxiang New District, designers made the local culture and site form interpenetrated to extend the site functions. The design was inspired by the local forests, waterfalls, valleys and rivers in Nanning. Natural elements were transformed into a system that coexisted with art and the sense of the future, creating a revealing folding mountain gate, a large-scale waterfall mirror, and an immersive forest and valley wonderland.
Color is an important part of the design. In terms of color selection, designers used superior gray as the basic color to cover the entire project with the minimalist concept of "Less is more".
In terms of material selection, the integration of modernity and craftsmanship was the main purpose, and the imitation stone materials and stone materials were used in conjunction with each other.
3 strategies were used to solve the landscape design difficulties of the irregular site - Integrated into nature: the building blended with the landscape, extracted architectural elements, and integrated the landscape with the building; Integrated into the building: the space with twisty roads was created according to the overall space layout, while the sight followed the twisty roads; blending in time: different plant scenes were created according to the space characteristics of the site, the sight line, the space layout, and the height difference relationship to present a warm living space.
Broke the routine and respected the site and nature, living function and space experience through locality to break through the form of the traditional landscape demonstration area, break away from the shackles of the landscape space and move away from the asymmetry of the three-dimensional life scene, create a linear landscape style with a modern texture, and an ideal living landscape with a unique sense of belonging.
