Throne Mansion, Chongqing

The project is located in Chongqing, China, with a design area of 5400m2. The design took full consideration of the human needs, drew inspiration and heritage from traditional Chinese culture, explored contemporary living ideals based on traditional Chinese culture, and presented a new national style that integrates tradition and modernity.
On considering the Chinese-style beautiful life, we emotionally used the Chinese "gathering" culture as the foundation of the project, extracted noble symbols, and created a ceremonial and elegant fairyland on earth. Inspired from an architect's book "Fantasy Garden", the space design organized three different spatial sensations into the landscape, creating a beautiful Chinese style living scene from the four dimensions of "walking, watching, living, and traveling". With the theme of "Fantasy Stream Tour", designers aimed to create a ritual gathering place, waterfront gathering place, and leisure gathering place under trees full of natural vitality and harmonious interaction. The materials, such as quartz bricks, imitation stone bricks, galvanized steel plates, bamboo, wood and schist were used, with the corridor as the guide and the trees as the sequence. The "mountains and waters in the box" were placed in the site; the flowing water waterfall, the light chasing corridor, and the artistic landscape stone were mutually penetrated, creating a unique and funny experience.
The completion of the project enriches the urban landscape, drives regional economic development, improves the block value system, and provides reference for the creation of future living environments.
