The Black in Colorful Bunch

As a part of the interior design, dark black color is often perceived suppressed which often discourages designer from choosing dark black interior decoration. However, the owner has a special preference for black colors and the definition he confers to home is highly personal and purposeful. In line with his preferences, we make a bold attempt to use dark color as the main color of the interior space. Walking indoors, you will see all storage spaces designed as hidden and a simple yet modern hallway. The closed kitchen transits to open type, and the bedroom adjacent to the living room transits to an open dining room, an ingenious design to connect the kitchen, dining room and living room. In doing so, a huge open space extended in all directions is created which boost the interaction and connection between family members. The living room equipped with a recessed piano, a sliding hidden full-length floor mirror and a double-sided sofa makes the parents-supervised learning and chatting possible. Taking into account the light-absorbing property of black colors, the designer increases the color brightness of black paint and uses plain white curtains, luminous white moon chairs and a hidden light fill-in system to balance indoor lighting without intervening in the overall interior ambiance. The “Star Tunnel” connecting the bedroom to the living and dining rooms is considered as another ingenious design. The natural texture of the inky stone skin substitutes the dull and boring walls. The hidden LED fiber optic lights imitate the spectacular and unaffected starry sky. The full frame hidden light strips envelop the whole space in a time tunnel-like ambience, and plots a roll of dreamy picture that makes you feel as if you had travelled back to the other side of time.
