The primary objective is to create a sophisticated and comfortable living space that caters to the unique needs of a newly-married couple. The design team has meticulously considered the couple's daily usage of the space in order to ensure optimal functionality and convenience. The designers have integrated contemporary and wabi-sabi design elements as the foundation of the space, and subsequently incorporated an array of functional areas and furnishings that align with the couple's vision for their home.
The entryway’s flooring boasts a remarkable design that mimics the look of a flagstone pathway and is adorned with paper molding. The homeowner's storage requirements are aptly catered to by a shoe cabinet and an electrical appliance cabinet that can hold shoes, cleaning gear, and personal effects. To ensure that the cabinet stays intact and can accommodate the high water tank of the robot vacuum, the bottom of the cabinet has been partly hollowed out. Moreover, a sling bar has been added to the cabinet's topmost portion to provide storage space for a vacuum cleaner and personal items, along with a collecting space for stained clothing. This design is carefully crafted to optimize space efficiency while preserving the cabinet's alluring appearance.
The living area is characterized by an open layout that seamlessly blends the living room and kitchen, creating a convenient environment for residents to navigate. The appliance cabinet has been thoughtfully designed, with heat dissipation holes that ensure the safe use of electrical appliances. The dining table is a multifunctional piece, incorporating a small counter that serves as a center island, preparation table, and desk. The kitchen is both practical and aesthetically pleasing, thanks to the innovative ideas of the designer, who has maximized functionality while keeping costs affordable.
When designing a private residential area for a couple who intends to start a family, the initial step is to plan a room for the child that can also serve as a guest room until the arrival of the baby. This room should feature bright and welcoming Scandinavian colors, as well as space-saving perforated panels that provide flexibility.
