Armchair inspired by the castle fort or even as Fort of The Lord Holy Christ, it was built in 1616 to protect the city of Belém/Pará, Amazonian metropolis, the largest biome in the world, my city of origin and experience. Built in the early XVII century, the fort served as a point of observation and protection against invasions and indigenous attacks that happened by land and also by the waters of Guajará Bay.
In the armchair Pieces of wood were used reusing the leftovers from the joinery, which explains the amendments. Its look in grids on the outside, and the sturdy upholstery as the massive walls, next to a vase on display of the pieces of Tapajonica and Marajoara origin that help tell the story of these peoples.
Wood was the material that marked the modernization of the furniture and interiors of the Brazilian house. It has a strong and robust visual and cultural representation, it lives up to the inspiration, of what represents the Amazonian culture and the nationalism of the diversity of Brazilian wood in appeal to recycling and conservation.
