Hangzhou Longfor Dingqiao Paradise Walk

The project “Dingqiao Tianjie” is located in the core area of Dingqiao Section in Jianggan District, Hangzhou, surrounded by mature landscape resources and a large number of residential areas. Buses, BRT and subways ensure convenient transportation here, but there are no excellent commercial projects as support. According to the analysis of project positioning, location selection and project radiated audience, this commercial plaza will inevitably become a new landmark and gathering place.
The design made use of the limited site space, combined with the bus station for the overall design, organized and introduced the flow of people, and created the TOD transportation hub complex. Connecting and leveling the park through the overpass across the city road, architects will seamlessly connect the multiple ground floors with the park’s flow of people. Through reasonable traffic organization, architects completely divert people and vehicles, and have a city display surface to arrange pedestrian landscape space, and the back logistics road for vehicle traffic and logistics unloading. Through the creation of a roof garden of more than 8,000 square meters, it echoes the sight of Taohua Lake Park on the opposite side, forming an important highlight in the high commercial area.
The design team put forward the concept of "Street Market in the Sky", which completely breaks the big box model of traditional shopping malls. On top of the concentrated commercial area on all four floors, architects have arranged a two-story indoor commercial street to simulate the feeling and experience of the street scene to guide the flow of people in the high-rise area. The specialized layout, interior decoration and landscape are combined with the exterior facade, presenting the effect of a perfect sky market under the support of the floodlighting of the curtain wall, bringing the artistic conception of the sky market described by Guo Moruo into reality.
