Dekun New World Commercial Plaza
This is an organic renewal plan for Dekun New World Commercial Plaza. It intends to transform the plaza into an open community business complex that harmoniously integrates people, nature, culture, and commerce. The overall design plan encompasses open cultural and tourism street, leisure and dining spaces, themed commercial streets, commercial event space, and relaxing atrium space. The aim is to align with more life-oriented businesses and brands, providing diverse amenities such as entertainment, culture, and social activities for the local community.
The design concept draws inspiration from the culture of Wenjiang Waters, centered around the theme of water. In view of this, a romantic imagination about "water" is presented, engaging urban spaces with water culture. Incorporating the corporate brand culture, it presents water scenes and fantastical art related to water without using real water, creating a cultural and tourism hub within the city.
The overall spatial arrangement is open, flowing, zoned yet interconnected. By making the businesses in the open community more outdoor-oriented and creating more plaza-like external spaces, along with artistic elements, themed districts, outdoor leisure areas, and various experiential settings, the plaza forms its own unique highlights and appeals. It not only caters to the young consumers’ needs for fashion and personality, but also offers scenes where people can take shareable photos as they wish, thus providing spiritual joy and contentment.
By establishing the community business, people can enjoy all the basic life services. The culture and tourist hub can serve as the spot for recreation and entertainment. It is also a good place for mass campaign aiming to cultivating community civilization.
Besides, by increasing the accessible facilities and improving the public infrastructure, a new type of community featuring friendliness and harmony is constructed, thus enhancing the sense of happiness right at one's doorstep.
