Bananain Shanghai R&D Center

BANANAIN Shanghai R&D Center is located at N12, Columbia Circle Phase II , at 1262 Yan'an West Road, which is a cultural and creative office park in the bustling inner ring of Shanghai, and is known as "Shanghai's first garden road", in the historical district of Xinhua Road.

This office is mainly used for brand product research and development and offices. The project consists of a five-storey detached building with a total area of about 4,100 square meters. The project's façade is designed in a modern industrial style with a maritime culture, aiming to highlight Banana's industrial attributes and positioning of the project, using the language of extreme architecture and finishing touches to perfectly integrate the building into the neighbourhood, and at the same time, transforming Banana's technological brand culture into a visual image.

The interior concept of the whole project is inspired by the building's own characteristics and the concept of "Tagless" of the BANANAIN brand, which extends the concept of "no boundaries" to the space. The design adopts large surfaces to blend inside and outside, breaking the boundaries of space and thinking, and using the ultimate architectural language to make indoor and outdoor become one.

The design of BANANAIN's Shanghai R&D Center is based on the brand's concept: Think again redesigning the basics, translating the technology of senseless products into the concept of a space without boundaries, and making use of lighting, materials, and other artefacts to bring out the attributes of the space and create a unique office experience.
