Daycare center is the first school where children are taught how to learn but also their second home. It is a sweet home where children either play and learn with other fellows, or get to know more about themselves and the world around. That’s why it is so important to design a proper environment for the daycare center. The colors of the interior space are chosen to the extent that babies and toddlers aged 0 to 3 can get adapted, such as pink, light blue, pale yellow and other pastel hues. In addition, some amusing design elements disposed in the lobby including 3D planes, windmills and clouds are eye-catching and stimulate their curiosity and interest in learning. The creation of an art-intensive environment is expected to foster their ability to appreciate, feel and create beauty. The interior ornaments are 3D objects with rounded edges, enhancing their visual experience and minimizing the risk exposure to injury. The age-suited colors that fit with 3D ornaments can ease tension and deliver a warm and comfortable environment experience. As children’s eyes are more vulnerable, the designer chooses 4500K natural white light source to provide soft lighting with a view to protecting their eyes and lowering the risk of eye strain. Corridors and classrooms constitute another crucial part of the daycare environment. The theme of the daycare center is a forest party, the door of each classroom features a unique animal shape and the interior space is ornamented with trees, animals and cabins. As is known to all, environment is crucial for the early development phase of a child, the nature-inspired design work conceives a plain nature and allows children to relax, immerse in learning and love to explore the unknown. Notably, inspired by valuable experience in COVID-19 responses and due to children’s vulnerability, a separate ventilation system has been designed for each room of the daycare center. This is done to prevent viral transmission in the air and ensure the safety of indoor air.
