There stands a picturesque park in Taiwan called the Shengli New Village Victory Star V.I.P. Zone, which is home to an impressive historic building. This one-of-a-kind site encompasses the Shengli New Village and Chenggong District of Chongren Military Dependents' Village. The park is divided into three main areas, namely the Shengli New Village, Chongren Chenggong District, and the Legacy Park. The latter is a rare landscape of historical architectural clusters, exuding an aura of traditional grandeur. Despite its location amidst modern streets, the park's lighting planning aims to showcase the harmonious blend of modern life and past cultures. Visitors can bask in the unique experience of crossing a street and immersing themselves in the amalgamation of ancient and modern times and spaces.
The local government in Pingtung is making strides to build a new lifestyle and creative industry platform by gradually developing its foundation. They prioritize planning for regional characteristics, implementing visual recognition systems, and introducing various business types. Additionally, the government has devised a plan called "Pingtung Shengli Xingcun Creative Life Park Lighting Environment Planning and Design" to improve the park's overall nighttime lighting design. This includes designing and planning the nighttime lighting for the 96 units from the Japanese Colonial Era Officer Dormitory Complex, the park's alleyways and walkways, and the planting area around the plaza. The aim is to showcase the historical texture of the site at night, enhance the park's environmental ambiance, increase pedestrian’s safety from daytime to nighttime, connect the tourist attractions around the train station and business district, and promote the nighttime economy.
The park boasts a distinctive checkerboard-style building layout that creates a fascinating landscape of intertwined lanes and alleys. For added safety and improved visibility during nighttime hours, the park has been adorned with warm lighting that not only reduces visual clutter but also accentuates the inviting warmth of the Japanese family house as well as the surrounding area. This lighting solution further sets the park apart from nearby commercial and residential areas, which typically feature high color temperature lighting.
