Ningbo Old Bund Party and Mass Service Center

The project is located in the Old Bund of Ningbo. It’ s about 260 square meters. It is currently the only surviving Bund in Zhejiang Province that reflects modern Chinese port culture. It is a significant witness to Ningbo's century-long history and one of Ningbo's carefully crafted five city namecards (Ningbo Gang, Ningbo Port, Ningbo Scenery, Ningbo Style). The Old Bund blends the beauty of both Eastern and Western architectural cultures and uses the emerging concept of Blocks commercial districts to create a distinctive area that combines shopping, dining, entertainment, tourism, and residential living, shaping a fashionable urban landmark for Ningbo.

The design is based on the distinctive features of each floor and presents three concepts. The first floor incorporates various elements of the Old Bund and connects them with the overall style of the Old Bund. The second floor focuses on innovative transformations by various enterprises, and the third floor brings together various party-building talents for collaborative development of a better future for the Old Bund Party and Mass Service Center.
The overall architecture follows an antique architectural style, with a front facade made of blue bricks, featuring clean lines and representing a typical Jiangnan-style architecture. Stone gatehouse elements are incorporated into the front facade design, adding distinct Old Bund elements. Tables and related artistic installations are placed outside to reflect the functions of the Party and Mass Service Center and the Visitor Service Center. The interior and exterior design language follows the architecture of the Old Bund and extracts the arched elements of the stone gatehouse. Utilizing parametric design and decorative language, it expresses the active creation and the desire to serve young talents at the Old Bund Party and Mass Service Center
