Rice- Fragrance Public Space

This project is located in Yancheng, Jiangsu, amidsts vast rice paddies and waterways. Within the overall rural revitalization tourist route, its main function is to serve as a display platform for disseminating knowledge about rice field culture, allowing visitors to get up close and personal with local farming culture and have a hands-on experience with actual crops.



The undulating roof resembles a sailboat, symbolizing setting sail for distant journeys. Its streamlined structure exudes a sense of dynamism and modernity. The towering roof stands proudly like a lighthouse at sea. In front of the building is a picturesque rice paddy lake, seemingly floating above the water's surface with structural support. Standing on the second-floor terrace, one can enjoy panoramic views of the rolling wheat fields all around and watch ducks and geese swimming in the lake.



A waterside platform with shouting fountain equipment allows visitors to shout out over the lake, watching the fountain respond to the pitch of their voices, offering relaxation and stress relief.



The Shouting Fountain Service Center serves as a gathering and resting place for visitors, also reflecting the development and progress of urban and rural areas. People can smell the fragrance of rice in the air, share the joy of a bountiful harvest, and enjoy a leisurely time. We hope that more and more urban residents will come to the countryside, fall in love with rural areas, and contribute their modest efforts to rural revitalization.
