HUAYI Design Head Office

The interior design of Huayi Design headquarters office is completed by the company's architect team. As designers and users of their own office space, how to design an office building for a architectural institute that occupies 6800㎡, and can accommodate 700 employees, while retaining a unique character and being practical and open, was a constant consideration for the design team. Faced with practical factors such as limited construction costs, short design cycles, and high density workstations, the design employed a minimalist and restrained approach, using the concept of "less is more" to achieve multiple goals.

The project successfully blends both ceremonial and practical office needs. The office floors are located on the 6th, 7th, and 11th floors of the building. The 6th floor assumes the company's external display and communication functions. The layout is organized around two axes: the functional axis connecting the entrance, front desk, café, restrooms, central corridor, conference room; and the spiritual axis housing the honor hall, multipurpose room, and central promenade. These two axes intersect perpendicularly, similar to layout of the Basilica building form with its nave and transepts.

The central corridor is the intersection of axes, not only a versatile and multipurpose space for daily use, but also the centerpiece of the entire spatial sequence, carrying the core values of the enterprise. Design emphasizes linear order and arrangement, with an infinite depth of field that extends people's visual focus and creates a deep perspective relationship between people and space, creating a mysterious spatial atmosphere and thereby materializing the spirit.
