The design team carefully analyzed the owner's daily routine and discovered that the original layout of the residence did not match the owner's lifestyle. As a result, the project was redesigned to prioritize comfort and convenience. Additionally, the team incorporated the owner's preference for dark colors to achieve the desired style of residence. Despite the use of dark colors, the designers were able to create a subtle and luxurious human-centered style through the use of mixed materials, hand-painted stone textures, and the interplay of light and shadow.

As you walk into the room, you'll notice a screen with moru glass separating the entrance and living room. This design not only provides an open feel to the space but also addresses feng shui concerns of direct sightlines into the living room. In the living room, the TV wall is hand-painted to resemble the texture of stone, adding to the overall aesthetic. Additionally, the curved design of the room captures the beams and pillars, creating a sense of spaciousness and avoiding a cramped feeling.

The owner of the residence is very hospitable and frequently invites friends and family over. For this reason, the house has an open design that integrates the public space. The living room and kitchen are separated by a diagonal layout, which redefines how people communicate in the public space. As you walk towards the kitchen, you'll see a solid wood dining table connected to a center island. The diagonal and folding table design echoes the diagonal pattern of the space and can accommodate multiple gatherings. The dining area is located under existing structural beams, which could make the space feel cramped. To solve this problem, the team used gray mirrors and indirect lighting to reflect and divide the visual effect. In addition, a glass sliding door between the dining area and the kitchen prevents cooking fumes from escaping.
