Suzhou Xihua Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital

Suzhou Xihua Maternity and Child Hospital is a specialized maternity and child hospital under the Kowloon Group in Hong Kong, catering to the healthcare needs of the middle and high-end population in the Suzhou region. The project is located in the core area of Jinji Lake in Suzhou, with a total building area of 166,800 square meters, including 600 medical beds and 78 postpartum recovery maternity rooms.
In terms of medical planning and departmental setup, the project fully considers economic factors, with the inclusion of a medical examination center, plastic surgery and cosmetic center, reproductive center, postpartum recovery center, etc. It places value on commercial services and emphasizes differentiation in competition. The space design focuses on variability, adopting standardized and modular design to accommodate future flexible expansion. Furthermore, it prioritizes the medical experience of patients, with separate entrances and exits for different demographics, taking into consideration safety, convenience, and privacy, in order to create a high-quality spatial environment.
Water, the source of life, is a fundamental element. Tailored to the characteristics of the maternity and child healthcare population, a "water"-inspired curvilinear design, combined with a "flower" theme, permeates throughout the hospital's spatial design. Playful floral patterns convey positive energy, and a color palette between Morandi and macaron hues is flexibly integrated into the interior design, creating a naturally warm and gentle healing environment. Through integrated interior design, the overall design of spatial form, color, materials, lighting, furniture, and signage systems creates an elegant and dignified atmosphere, evoking a graceful and agile ambiance, offering a soothing, gentle, and refined spatial experience.
