Coemoo Kids Fashion Salon

In this interior design, a kids’ barbershop that differs completely from traditional barbershop is crafted by creative and imaginative use of colors and floor plan. Arcs are infused and recombined in the rectangular shape composition. Kids may feel uneasy or strange when they are having haircut in barbershop, because they cannot understand or adapt to a space that is so different from the familiar places. However, this uneasy feeling may lead to anxiety or rebellion which may intervene in barber’s work and more importantly, make their parents and other guests feel bad with haircuts. The designer is advised to think out of box and create a space friendly to kids. This is a critical point that gives kids a pleasant and immersive haircutting experience. Aesthetically inspired by the fairy tale “Le Petit Prince”, Coemoo Kids Fashion Salon is designed with various arc shapes and warm-hued Morandi gradient colors, as if little guests were entering in the fairy tale universe. In addition, arc shapes are infused and recombined in square objects or walls, delivering a special and rhythmic visual experience. The combination of both elements makes the ambience perceived elegant and dreamlike. And this indoor ambience is supposed to be appealing and refreshing for those kids desired to explore something unknown.
