Cloud and Mud Private Residence

The project is a duplex with a loft, with an area of approximately 600 square meters. The overall style is modern minimalism in line with the Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication design philosophy accepted by both the homeowner and the designer. The functional layout takes into account and analyzes the homeowner's needs as well as the different requirements of each family member.

The project enjoys unobstructed panoramic views on all sides, allowing for a 360-degree view of the surroundings, with a vista of the flowing river and changing clouds. Therefore, in the initial design, careful consideration was given to the spatial views. The design includes a nearly 6-meter-high glass front for unobstructed views, as well as large glass windows with minimal ventilation and no handrails, featuring a 4-meter-wide laminated glass balustrade in the living room. Consideration of lighting and seasonal changes is integrated with the aesthetic of simplicity, using a gray tone matte rock panel to prevent light pollution, complemented by pure and matte wooden works with narrow, frame less doors. The cabinet woodworking uses Italian imported products, paying close attention to design details and daily habits.

For soft furnishing design, the focus is on comfort and aesthetics. Italian imported furniture, mattresses and curtain hardware are used, complemented by imported lighting fixtures. The bathroom and sauna room use pure imported products, with attention to water temperature, water pressure and health. The entire water circulation system and water pipes use medical-grade 316 stainless steel imported from Germany, ensuring the health of every family member.

The sky garden embodies a Zen-like sense of freedom, where one can socialize over tea, enjoy solitary contemplation and create a landscape that combines elements of rocks and water, contributing to a serene and cultured atmosphere. In the tea room within the garden, one can enjoy the beauty of rising mist, the harmony of all things and the unity of heaven and humanity - a scene that exists between the cloud and mud.
