Flite x Marc Newson MN60 Wave is our most ambitious creation yet, a performance eFoil with a single minded intention, a design so light, stiff and hydrodynamically efficient it gives the rider unmatched agility, responsiveness and the ability to surf waves unpowered.
Flite x Marc Newson MN60 Wave is the lightest production eFoil on the market. Nearly the entire configuration is constructed from high modulus pre-preg carbon fiber, a material not traditionally found in the conventional personal watercraft industry but borrowed from Formula 1 and aerospace engineering. It allowed us to create an extremely light and stiff board as well as a narrow mast, fuselage and propulsion system in one flowing form.
As a single piece without seams or joints and far narrower than anything ever created, the MN60 Wave Monobloc eFoil possesses the extremely low drag hydrodynamics required for unpowered wave riding yet has the stiffness and responsiveness to do it with style and agility. And while it sports our smallest motor ever designed, it’s still able to propel riders up to 120 kgs. The small motor’s low power is converted by an intelligent titanium gearbox to increase its thrust output. It drives our new Flite Folding Prop which automatically streamlines to reduce drag when not engaged. The MN60 Wave can instantly adapt between powered open water riding and unpowered wave riding. The transition feels much like being towed into a wave by a jetski.
Accompanying the Flite x Marc Newson range is the new MN Flite Controller. With a large and bright colour interface, riders are able to easily read key riding data and intuitively control their speed. Wave mode gives riders real time data on every unpowered wave, so they can track and compare their performance while riding.
We created an intuitive and unadulterated riding experience, with the responsiveness and agility of an unpowered hydrofoil board and the thrill of electric power. This is the new pinnacle of eFoiling.
