About The Entry

The business name comes from「Toi, Toi, Toi」, which is derived from German and means good luck for a performing artist's success in an imminent performance. Imagine that: the dancers gracefully grove to a rhythm under the spotlights, the audience applauds rapturous applause, and cheering voices reverberate around the theater in the dark or bright. Uniquely fish-fin-shaped windows, like dolphins leap, flow agilely along the wall. Every soul can move free with praise of dancing in the frame of ethics.

We integrated the brand concept - “dancing out of oneself and joyfully grooving as in the water” into the space. Firstly, adopt black and white contrast, which indicates the right and wrong of the world, to set up the staging classrooms and corridors. Then, we complemented curved walls to present a water theater image. Moreover, we installed a large piece of glass on the entrance facade to invite abundant natural light and reduce the need for artificial lighting. Simultaneously, making the dancing classes like impromptu performances through the French window greatly appealed to people passing by.

We adopted a monochromatic scheme in the project, and large-scale black-and-white finishing seamlessly defined various areas. In the illuminated classroom, beside the window, a macramé ceiling décor with a round-shaped floor played as a spotlight focused on the leading actor at a performance venue. It urged the relationship between the dancers, the stage, and the dancing, ideally corresponding to the brand concept that the proprietor expects the trainees to find themselves.

Considering different age groups of students, we utilized F1-certified low-formaldehyde building materials and installed power sockets beyond the height of young children’s reach. In addition, we installed oval-shaped glass windows on the first-floor classroom to allow visitors to view inward. Besides, setting up a second exit favors the students to go to the toilet directly without interrupting the class.
