This design project for a schoolyard is centred around the concept of a "child-friendly campus", aiming to promote student-oriented education, returning learning to students and allowing them to take ownership of their studies. Meanwhile, the project emphasises the importance of creating an environment conducive to children's needs and incorporating diverse learning opportunities that merge art, science, ecology and nature.

Notably, the design team combined the building structure with a cultural image called a "space-time ship". This ship represents dimensions of time and space, connecting the past, present and future. Also, it symbolises boundless thinking and moving towards the direction of happiness, which will boost both teachers' and students' growth together.

The design has four themes: Setting Sail(entering the school gate), Island Waves(getting close to the campus), Energy Chamber(walking into the building), and Garden on the Deck(wandering on campus). These themes construct the most humanistic, futuristic, eco-friendly, and long-lasting educational time and space. Together, they create the "space-time ship theme". It offers diverse colour zoning, focused game-based learning scenarios, different artistic style spaces, and social and interactive landscapes serving the curriculum. These elements form a dynamic and organic whole that grows layer to layer, allowing students to experience a unique and enriching time and space at school.

The design team's goal is for the campus design to provide a distinctive experience that fosters the growth of life, hoping that children will unconsciously explore the joy of nature, the beauty of the world, and the mysteries of the universe while learning and playing. They aim to create an environment that offers a range of feelings, such as challenge, immersion, exploration, and movement, ultimately enabling the "happy growth" of school and children.
