Pure Serenity

Sleek and clean lines outline geometric patterns in colorless purity. The dark wood flooring creates a calm feel in the living space. By the contrasting shades, natural light transfers colors reflecting on simple palettes and materials. Minimalist perfection reveals itself in day-to-day life.

The project is a home for a family of three starting a new life. Ingeniously, we maximized the open-planned living and dining spaces and combined storage systems under the existing beams. Furthermore, curved edge solutions reveal smooth lines and contribute to a safe and sound home where young children can play freely.

A feel of spacious and open space is revealed in the project resulting from the young couple's hope to render a home with joyful memories for their kids. We built floating cabinetry in open-planned public spaces that expand more floors for baby crawling or toddling. Besides, most cabinets incorporate curved shapes or rounded edges to enhance safetyproofing. The curved design also ties up the entire furnishing and brings a balanced harmony.

Distinctively pure white rectangular and cubicle-pattered wall design composes a subtle backdrop to the living decorations and furnishings added later. Considering maintenance, we painted the cabinet doors with stain-resistant paint, and the white walls that allow the kids to doodle can be repainted without the differences in shades in the future. On the contrary, the dark laminated wooden flooring in the public spaces forms a stately bearing. Meanwhile, sunrays penetrate from the French window shining on bright or dark surfaces, and make various luster in the minimalist style.

To accommodate a comfortable ceiling height, we cleverly installed a full-wall built-in storage cabinet extending from the entryway under the exposed beams. The cabinetry smoothly connects different areas and meanwhile eliminates the mass heaviness. In addition, a unique TV wall design creates a curved setback attached to the cabinet and keeps an adequate viewing distance from the sofa.
