The design concept, dubbed the first concerto, aims to merge the lush outdoor scenery with the indoor space, creating a bright and comfortable home for the homeowner couple and their children. The entire room is predominantly light-colored, providing a warm ambiance and prioritizing the creation of cherished family memories.
Upon entry, attention is drawn to the foyer, cleverly designed with arches and ceiling-height techniques to enhance the space's crispness. A guiding blue hue welcomes visitors, setting the tone for exploration and framing the outside view. Functional storage and display cabinets are seamlessly integrated here.
Discussions with the homeowners emphasized the importance of a relaxed and bright environment for their children. Renovating an old house involved reconfiguring the layout, including semi-opening the kitchen to prevent grease diffusion. Delicate iron elements and heat-resistant glass doors maintain visual openness while extending sunlight into the kitchen.
The public areas serve as the concerto's climax, featuring curved glass, delicate ironwork, and elegant stone designs. A semi-open study space is created, with symmetrical arched display cabinets adding depth and interest. The window-side chaise longue offers a comfortable space for work or relaxation.
The master bedroom embodies the soothing tones of a cello, with three-dimensional lines and comfortable colors providing an elegant and restful retreat for the homeowners.
In the daughter's room, playful elements create a princess-like atmosphere, with lines and panels resembling piano keys and an open shelf adding functionality.
The lively atmosphere continues in the son's room, with playful notes dancing on a musical staff. Beam columns are transformed into features using arches and woodgrain elements, adding a sense of adventure.
Ultimately, the design aims to create a warm and harmonious home where family bonds are nurtured, akin to a beautiful melody playing through the generations.
