The lighting concept seeks to create an emotional sense of peace within the residents, as they return home after a hectic day. The lighting aims to reflect the modern minimalist luxury architecture and build materials applied. The design anchors itself on the swimming pool and extends outwards to the environment. Using minimal lighting points, the space is artfully lit for just the right level of brightness, where one may appreciate the flowing water and trees in the calm evening breeze. We used minimal lighting on the sides and gradually building up the illumination on the façade wall at the far end of the pool. It aims to create a sense of tranquillity and spaciousness, where the sights eventually end at a uniquely designed textured wall. A mirage lighting reflection was created on the slow-moving water surface. It mimics a calm breathing action that relaxes the mind as one looks ahead into infinity. Lighting up a place is easy. There is a clear physical target. Lighting up a person after a long day is another level altogether. The lighting design we create seeks to touch the inner most of a person and light it up for them to see themselves. Our solution aims to allow one to regain yourself, feel the space reconnect with nature. The healing of the soul starts with lighting it up. We aspire to light up a real space by lighting the heart of a person first. That is achieved in Dalvey Haus.
