Distinguished from operation-oriented complexes, we have given more thought to the relationship between architecture and the city and nature. Here, the building is the city, and the city is packed into nature.

Over 74% of the project is underground, and the open-air design allows cultural activities not to be confined to the enclosed building space, so that the experience of browsing the book city can be freely switched between indoor and outdoor. These all-weather urban corridors also make the building more than just a book city: nature, city and architecture are interwoven into a beautiful symphony.

Immersive cultural experience in the Qu Shui Liu Shang

The interior space draws on the form of " Qu Shui Liu Shang " to link up the paths, and the richly-formed staircases and ramps can be regarded as "mountains of books" and "ribbons of jade," forming a diverse and interesting public space.

Building roofs are "urban green carpets."

The green roof of the building is like a piece of "lifted green carpet", preserving the green space of the Central Axis Park in the best possible way. The integrated design of above-ground landscape and underground building regulates the micro-climate of the site and reduces the energy consumption of the building.
