Concept: Skip

The project theme is an expansion plan for a pediatric dental clinic designed for the future development.

Initially, the plan was to extend only the clinic. However, later on it was decided to add some extension to the clinic owner’s house.
The wishes of the clinic director were very clear: “I want to have an open house with no partitions inside”.

Therefore, we omitted creating wall partitions between rooms necessary for a daily life such as hobby room, living room, dining room and kitchen.
Instead, we proposed different in levels floor plan in which space is divided by steps.

In practice, when you enter the house there is a hall. Then, when you go upstairs you will see a room with a fire place. Next, when you go up, there is a living room. From there, you go up the stairs again and you enter a dining room with a kitchen. On the upper floor, there is a bedroom located. When it comes to a hobby room, it is situated within the opening (gap) under the living room, and the closet fits under the dining room and kitchen.

When you stand in the kitchen, you are able to take an extensive view of the whole space. The sky above the rooftop becomes also visible and you can enjoy the entire open space of the house.

To summarise, I imagine the inhabitants of this house feel relaxed every day.
