The packaging for this Jiang-flavor Chinese Baijiu (also known as Chinese spirits) is rooted in the Han Dynasty culture. It is designed not just to celebrate the history and culture of Moutai Jiang-flavor spirits but also to convey its historical significance to consumers.
The bottle is adorned with a masterpiece by a renowned artist, depicting the historical ties between Hanjiang Liquor and the Han Dynasty culture from five aspects: history, praise, brewing, etiquette and prosperity. The artwork portrays vivid scenes of horsemen in search of the finest liquor, envoys presenting the liquor as tribute, and the emperor lauding the liquor quality. These images do more than just decorate; they trace the historical root of Hanjiang liquor. Moutai faithfully inherits the classic brewing technique of Hanjiang liquor, ensuring that each sip carries its authentic flavor and further promoting the storied liquor culture of the Han Dynasty. To strengthen this connection, the palette of the painting is meticulously chosen to harmonize with the overall color scheme of the bottle, drawing on the hues prevalent in the Han dynasty to evoke an aura of historical richness. Against the black coffee-colored background, these illustrations are outlined in gold and highlighted with red and blue to enhance visual depth. The bottle surface, sprinkled with golden speckles, conjures up an image of a starlit sky, symbolizing hope and timelessness.
A glance at the top of the bottle reveals a circle of scrolling clouds engraved on the lid—a motif popular in the Han and Wei Dynasties—symbolizing promotion and luck. The pattern on the bottle shoulder is inspired by the cross-over front with a diagonally shouldered design, which is a clothing style worn by the scholar-officials in the Han Dynasty as a mark of their status. This design captures the quintessential style of this era. Additionally, both sides of the bottle are modestly etched with totemic designs drawn from the cultural relic—a bronze vessel with phoenix and bird motifs. These totems not only add an element of beauty but also carry symbolic meanings of good luck and well-being, further promoting Chinese art and culture.
