This is a proposal for a food court of the Sansusī Music Festival. Inspired by the lush forest that the site sits in, the design aims to establish a seamless and interactive relationship with its surrounding context that will offer a relaxed community gathering experience.

The layering technique of traditional Latvian costumes has driven the form of the food court, as an experiment to establish cultural identities for the event. The weave-like veiling ETFE roof creates a light-touch shelter for the space, encouraging the flow of circulation. The use of timber glulams as the main supporting structure reduces carbon footprint, strengthening the connection towards the natural context.
