Chengdu Guan Tang sales office

The sales office was designed with the objective of incorporating Tang Dynasty culture into modern architectural design to create a splendid interior, promoting and preserving traditional Chinese culture. The design team drew inspiration from the combination of ceiling and arch forms commonly used in Tang Dynasty buildings. They added a simplified arch structure on top of the original woodwork construction of the ceiling to create an imposing space. The sales office also utilizes solid wood to restore the texture of the Tang Dynasty shuttle pillars and metal components to reinforce and decorate the shuttle pillars, thereby conveying a solemn sense of history.

Regarding the soft furnishings, the design team printed the Painting of Lady of Guoguo Spring Outing in the Tang Dynasty on the folding screen. The painting was optimized and depicted using modern technology for higher clarity and richer picture layers. The design team printed it on a silk fabric folding screen through a high-temperature printing and dyeing process to add to the overall delicacy of the screen. Furthermore, the patterns on the square tiles or stone slabs paving the floor in the Tang Dynasty were integrated into the carpet design to reflect the architectural style of the Tang Dynasty. Most of these motifs are in the form of po-phase patterns, showcasing the elegance and nobility of the carpet.

Additionally, the glass in the bathroom of the sales office features elements of Chengdu's city flower, the hibiscus, which was blended into the interior design to increase its appeal to local consumers by adding Chengdu's local colours.
