Bicycle Park-Community Construction

This construction project aimed to inspire community residents to transform their living environment together through the community competition in Yunlin County. From the idea of design to the completion of construction, all community residents were involved.As for the base, from the 1960s, there was a bicycle shop right next to it. At that time, residents used bicycles as well as bullock carts as their mode of transportation. This bicycle shop was the only one in the village, and is part of the collective memory of the residents of Lunzai community.Lunzai’s bicycle park was planned based on residents’ memories. The concept of retro bicycles in this project aimed to present the construction and development of Lunzai community as the rolling of big wheels and small wheels. This project combined the strengths of all community residents, whether they were adults or children and rich or not. With the community unity to promote this project, Lunzai community rapidly developed itself. The entrance of the bicycle park echoes the main body, an old-fashioned bicycle is set as an image, and the historical evolution is written on it to enable people to know the origin of this park.
