This spatial design project was created exclusively for the Shantou Cultural and Tourism Park, with the primary intent of rendering a unique space that combines openness and fluidity. It is designed to serve as one of Shantou's landmarks and provide visitors with a serene and contemporary meeting place where they can unwind and partake in an enriching cultural experience.

The Big Beard B&B, occupying the area's main position, is devoted to exploring and paying tribute to diverse cultures by amalgamating four distinct room styles. The Japanese wabi-sabi room type embraces simple lines and natural tones and boasts a multi-functional leisure area that is both functional and comfortable, creating a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere. The cave-style room type utilizes a spacious layout to create spatial coherence and transparency through smooth curves, natural hues, and wrap-around lighting. The new South Seas style room type utilizes natural materials from Southeast Asia, complemented by traditional ceramics and artwork, while the South Seas style room type showcases traditional natural materials from Southeast Asia, adorned with traditional pottery and artwork, highlighting the regional characteristics and cultural richness of the Southeast Asia region.

The designers have taken into account the needs of children and have accordingly placed a soft carpet on the floor of the parent-child room, alongside a reading area next to the bed, resulting in a secure place for children to play and rest. The parent-child room is equipped with a double-level space that allows users to access the first floor from the second floor, catering to the dual needs of privacy and space capacity for travelling families.

Furthermore, the B&B has meticulously set up an entry garden and a second-floor public terrace, which not only meets the viewing and rest needs but also brings the warmth of home to travellers.
