Location
The project is located in the airport economic industrial zone in Guangzhou, with tight connection to two transportation hub–the Guangzhou International Airport (6km) and Guangzhou North High Speed Train Station (4km). The industrial zone is adjacent to the ecological sensitive area – the Huadu Lake Wetland Park.
Design concept
As one of the few commercial buildings in the airport economic industrial zone in Guangzhou, F-ONE CENTER is positioned as an international green business complex and is intended to be a regional Office Park.
With biophilic design as the main design concept, it includes the integrated application of measures such as roof gardens, vertical greening, ventilation corridors, passive shading and sponge city.
In order to accommodate different scenarios of future business offices, the building adopts a variety of modular design techniques to meet multi-dimensional needs within a small site.
Design strategies
The project is located in the airport area, with tight land use and building height restrictions. Therefore, it is difficult to meet the high-capacity building volume and flexible arrangement.
The enclosed courtyard layout and sky gardens weaken the building's sense of volume, while enriching the building's internal and external space. It makes the building more integrated with the city.
Climate responsive design such as ventilation corridors and arcades, passive energy-saving design with large-size vertical shading elements, and biophilic design such as sky gardens and vertical greening as key measures for major sustainable design.
F-ONE CENTER has a highly recognizable flowing line facade. As a building shading component, it has become a part of the urban landscape, satisfying the attributes of the building itself and integrating with the city.
