Nestled in downtown St. Louis, Missouri, The Globe Building is an exemplary showcase of art deco artistry and architectural adaptation. Originating in 1932 as the Illinois Terminal Railroad, this 7-story, 550,000-square-foot concrete marvel now seamlessly blends top-tier, hi-tech office space with a cutting-edge 150,000-square-foot data center, marrying the past with the future. After meticulous revitalization in 2020, The Globe Building preserves its historical narrative while embracing the future with modern, futuristic interiors. The journey begins on the first floor, where soaring 22-foot-high ceilings unveil an unparalleled amenity space, setting a new standard for Class A office spaces in St. Louis. The executive conference room achieves a delicate balance between openness and a sleek, all-black environment, offering a unique space ripe for collaborative endeavors. The break area pays homage to the building's storied past with exposed concrete walls and an industrial-chic aesthetic, complemented by carefully choreographed lighting design for warmth, productivity, and creativity. Moving through the building, Bulthaup stainless cabinetry, Italian furniture, and custom 'roasted coffee' oak tables introduce warmth to the cool floors and perforated metal ceilings. Multiple lounge areas, including a red velvet banquette, offer inviting spaces for events with easy access to loading docks for caterers. Ascending to the 6th floor reveals a transformative, gallery-like workspace optimizing square footage for a sophisticated and creatively charged environment. Vibrant art and an open layout inspire creativity and collaboration among its inhabitants. The Globe Building, meticulously planned to harmonize functionality, aesthetics, and creativity, stands as an architectural opus. Beyond being a hi-tech workspace, it acts as a sculpted artifact enriching the urban panorama, solidifying its stature as a historic landmark in contemporary design within the city. This living testament bears witness to the nuanced interplay between historical roots and visionary innovation, shaping the essence of modern workspaces in St. Louis through the discerning lens of architectural expertise.
