Qingdao Experience Nature View Tide Homestay青岛

The project is located in the Laoshan Scenic Area of Qingdao, and it involves the renovation of existing buildings, boasting an unparalleled seaside view. The core design principle is to maximize the utilization of the sea view while optimizing the internal space. The architectural layout has been adjusted to align with the sea, creating a three-tiered terrace structure to enhance the vertical elevation difference, ensuring each floor and room enjoys a unique sea view. Based on the original building conditions, the building space was re-divided to create various functional spaces with different spatial forms and different ways of viewing the sea. There are long spaces with longitudinal sea views, horizontal spaces that provide long horizontal sea views, and shaped spaces that provide novel sea experiences.



The internal areas have been meticulously organized to present a variety of forms, with green-filled winding corridors replacing straight walkways and rooms offering distinctive and personalized landscape views. Special attention has been given to the reconstruction of the two buildings by the sea, transforming them into spaces with exceptional seaside qualities. The higher building on the south side retains its original structure, introducing meandering pathways and redesigning the first-floor rooms and corridors to enhance both privacy and transparency.



The landscape design complements the architectural space. The outdoor space on the south side of the building, i.e. on the third floor of the original building, has been turned into a private courtyard for guest rooms and a winding public walkway. The outdoor space on the east side of the site was transformed into a dining out area connected to the roof of the restaurant, where people can get close to the sea while dining. The overall design aims to seamlessly integrate with the natural environment, offering people an outstanding seaside experience and diverse spatial sensations.
