Living in Solitude

The house owner is a single unmarried man keen on a fancy touch and the quality of his home, so the design plan will make him enjoy a private master bedroom and a public open-concept compartment of the remaining space.The whole space filled with a warm tone brings a cozy warm and calm feel to the house owner in his private personal time.



The very first visual focus is the woodwork pitched roof above the kitchen. This design concept manages a cosmetic interior finish that covers the ugly fixed essential appliances such as the air conditioner (AC) maintenance bore and the too lowly elevated tubing of the energy recovery ventilation (ERV). The ugly interior fixtures are wrapped by the pitched roof, which not only hides the maintenance bore perfectly with a woodwork configuration but also brings the indirect lighting to the house for functionalities skillfully. The interior imperfection covered by a design idea that transforms in line with the shape brings the WABISABI (Wabi-Sabi) design idea to daily life.



The zone in front of the window from the living room to the study is a space purposively left blank, so the sun that shines through the grids to the room with the warm natural light will add a natural glow interiorly; meanwhile, the hardwood grid design idea manages a unique visual effect that brings an artistic and tasteful touch to the interior fittings.
