OFFICE OF EXISTENTIALISM ARCHITECTURE STUDIO

Existentialism Architecture studio, an international architecture and interior design studio,we are committed to creating ideal and comfortable spaces for homeowners, and this project is our new studio. The building is a 36-year-old narrow and elongated old house, with existing stairs and decorations causing narrow circulation between the front and back. Moreover, the original building features staggered floor slab structure, dividing the space.
Through reconstructing the staircase structure to adjust the circulation direction, we aim to create new circulation paths to shape the volume and form of the front and back spaces. We strive to preserve privacy and partial light and visibility penetration as much as possible in the partitions, which are necessary for functionality. Designers utilize natural light to enhance the sculptural quality of the space formed by walls and floor paint. They create blurred linear openings in the hallway to introduce light and guidance, aiming to overcome the limitations of the narrow space as much as possible.
